Un pôle de santé géant va voir le jour à Nice par M. Berger

Le maire de Nice, Christian Estrosi, a annoncé la construction d'un méga hôpital de 125 000 m
2
dans la plaine du Var à l'Ouest de Nice d'ici 2031-2032.

Ce futur pôle de santé devrait être construit le long de l'important axe de circulation du boulevard du Mercantour. Le terrain choisi s'étend sur
quatre hectares et abrite actuellement des logements sociaux « Adoma Nicéa », récemment identifié par la fondation Abbé-Pierre comme
étant le quartier le plus pauvre de France. Ce nouveau site regroupera trois établissements de santé : le CHU L’Archet et de Cimiez (gériatrie),
le Centre Antoine-Lacassagne (lutte contre le cancer) ainsi que l’hôpital pédiatrique universitaire de Lenval. « Ces établissements ne sont plus
adaptés, plus dimensionnés pour prendre en charge les patients lorsque l’on connaît l’évolution démographique, le vieillissement de la population
et donc les besoins grandissants », s'est expliqué Christian Estrosi dans le journal Nice-Matin. Pour le directeur du CHU de Nice, Rodolphe
Bourret, ce projet représente « une opportunité historique ». Le Centre Antoine-Lacassagne et la Fondation Lenval pour l’enfance regrettent,
